Honda was pleased to come to Columbus, Ohio on July 8 to host the Honda Initiation Grant (HIG) Technical Horizon Symposium, a university outreach program designed to develop collaborative research activity between Honda and members of the academic community.
The HIG program annually awarded research grants in amounts up to $50,000 along a broad variety of research areas including automotive, materials, computer and robotics, safety, intelligent vehicle, and environmental technologies. At the symposium, many top scientists, as well as executives, and associates from Honda, were on hand to discuss leading-edge technologies in areas of combined collaborative interests.
Professors and research scientists were encouraged to attend and to bring posters that represented their research in areas of potential collaborative interest to Honda.
